Can Pipedrive send reminders about upcoming sales activities?

Get Reminders for Upcoming Pipedrive Sales Activities

Managing your sales pipeline requires a system that keeps you on top of important tasks and follow-ups. In Pipedrive these are called Activities. As a Pipedrive user, you will receive an automated daily emails with a summary of Activities they should complete that day, so you’ll never miss a key sales activity. And, if you want to customize when you receive these reminders and what's included within the reminder, follow this step-by-step guide to customize your notifications.

Step 1: Log in to Pipedrive

Log in to the Pipedrive CRM. Don't yet have an account?

Step 2: Customize your Preferences

Once logged in, configure your preferences within the Sales Assistant.

1. Click on the light bulb icon in the top right corner. 

2. Then click on the gear icon and select “Manage Notifications”

3. Be sure the toggle next to "Receive notification emails" is ON. Then, you can select what time of day you'd like to receive this email. Some people want it in their inbox first thing, others want to get it late morning so it doesn't get lost in the flurry of overnight or over-the-weekend emails.

4. Under Notification types, expand and collapse sections by clicking the small arrow icon and further customize your settings from there. For email tracking, select to include it in your summary so you’re notified if emails have been opened.

5. Under Activities Reminders, definitely check Include in summary email. We recommend having the Send a separate email… and Show alert options turned off.

Step 3: Access Your Pipeline and Schedule an Activity

Now that your reminders are set, all you need to do is start creating and completing Activities and watch the sales start rolling in. You can create Activities manually within any Deal (or Person or Organization).

  1. Click the "Activity" button.
  1. Choose the type of activity (e.g., call, meeting, task), set the due date, add any notes in the yellow box, and click Save.

Step 4: Viewing and Completing Activities 

View and complete all of your Activities in one place in Pipedrive.

1. Click on the Calendar Activities icon.

2. Be sure you’re looking at activities assigned to you due Today or all that are To-do.

3. Not seeing the columns of data you want to see? Click the Gear Icon to customize your Activities view. Then, click on any column header to sort the list A-to-Z or Z-to-A
